My Brief

Timothy Winters
For my Minor project my intention is to uses the character from Charles Causley poem Timothy Winters to create my short story. The poem describes a young school boy whose upbringing has not been so kind to him, his family being very poor he finds himself wearing old worn out clothes and at school he pays no attention to the teacher. My animation will be set on the streets of the backcountry in the 1950’s and will follow Timothy Winters as he walks to school and on his return home. My animation will be full of nostalgia of working class life in the backcountry and will be an uplifting and emotional story of a poor boy with a passionate dream and imagination.

ive had this project in mind for a while now, i was going to be used for my transcription project in year two but dropped it because of time issues

Other ideas
Another back up plan is a remake of the narcoleptic blimp but in beautiful CGI, the aesthetic style of the animation will be similar to my previous projects, warm and realistic. The blimp Character will be old and worn-out with many other small comical characters under the sea for example. I would want to keep my European theme throughout.

Another possible option is a story about a man who wants to relax in his garden, enjoying the sunshine whilst playing guitar. As he is playing he gets interrupted by an audience of Cats sitting on his fence which becomes larger and larger as he plays to the point when he has a mass crowd of cats sitting applauding him, the story ends on a twist. The man stands up for his thunderous applause and takes a bow, as he bows it turns out that the cats were keeping him occupied while other cats completely took over his house and stole all of his food.
